How to Import a Profile from Linkedin

To import a profile from LinkedIn to HireInsight.io locate the LinkedIn icon at the top toolbar of the app screen, this is visible in each of the activity tabs.

LinkedIn will open in a pop-out window within the HireInsight.io app, and operates in completely the same way as the native LinkedIn website. The LinkedIn tool is accessible through the Hire Insight desktop app, not when accessing Hire Insight through your browser, such as Chrome.

TIP: To close LinkedIn at anytime click the white X in the top righthand corner, or press 'Esc' on your keyboard, to return to the Hire Insight screen.

NAVIGATING THE LINKEDIN POP-OUT WINDOW

Top Tool Bar - located at the top of the LinkedIn pop-out window, this tool bar is where you find all the familiar LinkedIn functions; Recruiter, Sales navigator, Messaging.

Bottom Tool Bar - Along the bottom of the pop-out window there are 4 buttons with the following functions:

Click the LinkedIn icon to navigate to your home page feed

Click these icons to jump back or forward a page on LinkedIn

Click this button to import the selected profile from LinkedIn to Hire Insight.

To the righthand side of the pop-out window you will find the Import Options tool bar, use the drop down menus to specify details about the profile before importing to Hire Insight. The import options include the ability to add notes, tags and tasks. 

Select the import options required, you are ready to import. Click the import profile button in the bottom tool bar and the profile will be added to your chosen area of HireInsight.io to import the LinkedIn profile into HireInsight.io

Once the profile has finished downloading into HireInsight.io , an Alert is received on your desktop. 

Click the Alert and you’ll be taken directly to the imported profile within HireInsight.io.
