Why Doesn't my Client Login Code let me login to the Client Portal?

If your client is having trouble logging into the Client portal, here is a troubleshooting checklist to run through with the client.

1.  Is the Client using the correct email address?  The email address must be the same as the email used to set up the Hire Insight account The Google and Microsoft options require the client's contact record has been previously set up with the email address they use to access the Google or Microsoft services
2.  Has the Client been invited to a live Hire Insight campaign?  Check in Campaign setup > Client Access, to see that the client has been added to the Campaign. Click here to read How to Add Client's and Stakeholders to a Campaign
3.  Where is the Client trying to login?  Clients log in to the Client portal using the recruiters account name as a prefix. Clients cannot login to app.hireinsight.io (this is for recruiter's users). Click here to read How to login for Client's and Candidates
4.  Is the Client using the correct confirmation code? 

The Client will receive a new Confirmation code every time they click Continue with email in the login screen. 

The Confirmation codes are sent immediately, however some company firewalls will detect the outside email on the server and delay delivery whilst it is scanned. 

If multiple codes have been requested, the Client may need to wait whilst all Confirmation codes automatically expire after 30 minutes. After this time, request one code and wait for it to arrive. 

Confirmation code rules:

  • There is only one 'live' Confirmation code
  • The latest code will always be the 'live Confirmation code, so if the Client has clicked Continue with email multiple times, they will not be able to login using older codes. 
  • All Confirmation codes expire once they have been used successfully, or superseded with a fresh code, or after 30 minutes. 
5.  Is Hire Insight running?  Check that there has not been a reported outage of service at the time the Client was attempting to login. Click here to see Live status for Hire Insight
