How do I Change Views in the Tasks dashboard?

Tip: Tasks can be viewed in multiple formats to improve visibility of workload and workflow. Choose from filters for individual team members, calendar, list, columns and more.

CONTENTS:

  1. FILTER BY INDIVIDUAL
  2. VIEW TASKS BY PROGRESS STATUS
  3. LAYOUT OPTIONS FOR VIEWING TASKS
  4. QUICK LOOK

Navigate to the Manage tasks icon on the lefthand toolbar.

The Tasks dashboard will open in the last viewed format.

On the Tasks dashboard there are four options for customising the view of workload:

  1. FILTER BY INDIVIDUAL

Select the drop down menu on the top left to see options for filtering, either view all tasks or by individual team member.

Select the view required and Tasks will be filtered according to the individual to which they are assigned, or view All tasks.

Tasks showing for the individual selected. A summary is shown below the individual's name, and at the lower lefthand side of the page.

  1. VIEW TASKS BY PROGRESS STATUS

Tip: The option to view or hide completed Tasks is viewable in the list format.

Other formats automatically show completed Tasks.

To show or hide completed Tasks, navigate to the Show completed button on the bottom righthand side of the page.

Check or uncheck Show completed to show or hide completed Tasks.

When Show completed is checked, information about when the Task was due, completed or overdue will show in the dashboard. When Show completed is unchecked, completed Tasks will be hidden.

  1. LAYOUT OPTIONS FOR VIEWING TASKS

Tip: Columns and Calendar layout will automatically show completed Tasks.

To hide completed Tasks, view in List format.

There are three Layout options for viewing tasks:

Tasks

Board

Calendar

To select your preferred Layout, navigate to the top of the page and click on the tab for your selected view.

Tasks - traditional list format with the option to show or hide completed Tasks.

Board - this format allows progress and workflow to be easily viewed.

Four Columns group Tasks in To Do, Up next, Current and Done, each has a summary at the top of the Column.

Two features in this format:

  • A slider on the righthand side of each column to allow scrolling.
  • Tasks can be dragged and dropped into different Columns

Calendar - this format shows Tasks plotted into a month-to-view calendar.

Completed Tasks are shown with a strikethrough. A slider to the righthand side of the date tile allows scrolling through the Tasks for each day.

  1. QUICK LOOK

To the lower left corner, there is a quick look summary of Tasks according to which individual filter is chosen, or All Tasks.

This is a top level summary of overdue, upcoming and completed Tasks.
